A New Toy...

Leah and I recently attended my little sister's graduation from Arizona State, and of course I played the total shutter bug. We got back from the long weekend trip, and I sat down and looked at some of the pictures. I was happy with some of them, but a lot of the shots just were missing my normal quality.

Leah commented to me that maybe it was time to get a new camera, as I have been talking about that for quite a while, and my current digitals are getting a bit long in the tooth (2001 and 2003 respectively.) I thought that might be nice but really wasn't sure that she was serious, especially since I had promised her after we bought the surround sound system and HD TV that the next purchases were going to be "hers" (although I think it would be fair to say that both the TV and the surround system are getting plenty of use by her...funny how that works!)

Anyway, I kind of did a bit of research on various cameras, in the hope that she was actually serious, and thankfully I did, as Thursday night she suggested we go down to Nebraska Furniture Mart and buy a new camera...

I managed to get myself a nice new Nikon Digital SLR that I am already loving!
