Back in Denver... 12:15 am update
The three of us are safely back in Denver. We managed to get back here by 920 tonight, despite United Airlines best efforts to keep us from getting to the back to the girls in a timely fashion.
It was another good day, lots of good news from here at Swedish. Mom is talking, and was waiting for us to get back, so she could talk to us. She was busy doing lots of PT and talking with the psychologist. She was pretty tired, as her day was very very busy. She had a lot of firsts, a full meal, talking and sitting up in a wheel chair. She wanted to come down and see Leah, surprise her in fact, but she was told by the nurses that she had to much stuff hooked up.
Leah will be leaving sometime tomorrow for home. We will be driving home, and taking our time,as Leah will need lots of time to walk around and stretch. Her folks will be driving her and I back. Once we get home lots of help will be needed, and I am sure I will be asking lots of all of you.
I am spending the night in Leah's room, so need to cut this short so i don' keep her awake.
The funeral was beautiful, the music was wonderful, all the flowers people sent were amazing. Laying Renee to rest was a big step, as we could finally care for her and Zack. Zack is a hurting young man, and will need lots of hope, prayer and encouragement.
