Update at 6 pm

Quick update. the girls got moved out of the ICU and into the Multitrauma unit. This is a good sign, although we are all sad to lose our wonderful nurses that we had in ICU. Heather, Nathan, Mooky, Arlene, and Phil will all be missed!

The new room numbers are as follows:

Rachel is in room 4435.

Leah is in room 4276.

Found some new information out today in regards to Rachel. She has a mild concusion, which along with the meds, are combining to make her drift in and out. This explains why she was seeing the TV having lots of funny colors despite it not being on. She also will be seeing a plastic surgeon to have a bit of a skin graft on her right arm. She was sleeping a lot today, but was able
to talk to a few visitors that we had today, and do a bit of PT.

Leah got moved up to the MTU this afternoon, and was doing pretty well. She had a rough night last night, had a lot of crying, and her heart is breaking for Renee. She and I had a long talk this morning, and only broached the tip if the iceberg. Leah not only lost a sister in law, but she lost a sister, and her best friend. Her spirits have been a bit lower today, but I have been making the best of it. Our move up to the MTU was good, as she graduated from ICU but she was pretty worn out. She did some PT today on the shoulder, lots of pain, but she is tough and worked thru it to get some good results. She and I will be working on the PT a bunch, and I was given lots of homework.
